It just occurred to me that it's been three weeks since our battlefield tour ended and I still haven't written my thanks for the exceptional job you did. I know I can always depend on you to deliver a wonderful tour, but in this case (if you'll pardon a baseball metaphor), you hit it out of the park. I was especially impressed with the job you did on the role of the US 27th and 30th Divisions in the "Breaking the Hindenburg Line" battle. Despite the fact that the battle has been controversial for almost a century and that everyone blamed everyone else for the problems they experienced, you were able to cut through the fog (literally) to give us a balanced picture of what actually happened. I was particularly thrilled that you were able to get me so close to the site near Montbrehain where Beth's grandfather was wounded on 8 October 1918. Before going on this trip, I figured I'd be lucky to get within 10 or 15 miles of the spot.
