Tour Itinerary

Day 1

After meeting up at Highgate House Hotel (Or Market Harborough Railway Station) and checking into our very comfortable rooms the group will assemble in the bar to an introductory talk and welcome drink.
An evening meal for the group, inclusive of wine will be followed by an informal lecture on the English Civil War, its origins and lead up to Naseby.

Day 2

After a full buffet breakfast we are joined by a living history enthusiast and local historian who will talk us through the uniform and arms of the civil war.
This will provide the opportunity to handle some of the equipment seen in the battle and begin to understand the men that fought it.
After a tea/coffee break our coach will convey us to the nearby village of Naseby to begin a comprehensive tour of the battlefield, often walking,  including visits to:

The Fairfax Viewpoint, The Cromwell Memorial, Naseby Field, the Bluecoat Memorial, Sibbertoft and Marston Trussell.

The day ends with a champagne high tea before returning to the Highgate Hotel/Market Harborough Railway Station and disperse.
